Moelven is closing its sawmill at Årjäng in Värmland, Sweden, founded in 1946; 38 employees are affected. The group points to a difficult market marked by geopolitical uncertainty, high raw-material costs and inflation and wants to concentrate log intake at sites where it has invested. It is Moelven's second sawmill closure in Värmland in a little over a year (Moelven via Dagens Arbete, 08.09.2026).
