GE Vernova upgrades Veresegyház turbine plant for $24.5m

GE Vernova is modernising its gas turbine plant in Veresegyház for USD 24.5m — including robotic welding cells and a thermal barrier coating facility — and is adding a solar park and an energy storage unit at the site. More than 80 new skilled workers (CNC turners, welders, fitters, assembly technicians) are to be hired. The site is regarded as the group's largest gas turbine manufacturing base outside the United States. So far reported by a single source (Pénzcentrum).
