Prague awards construction of Smíchov transport terminal for CZK 6.2bn

Prague city council approved on 5 October 2026 the award of the city's part of the transport terminal at Smíchov station to a consortium led by SMP Construction for about CZK 6.2bn excluding VAT, against an estimate of CZK 7.12bn. The contract covers a long-distance and regional bus terminal above the platforms, replacing the Na Knížecí bus station, a P+R car park west of the station and a redesigned forecourt on Nádražní street; the rebuild of tracks and station is carried out separately by Správa železnic (separate entry cf841646). Announced on 5 October 2026; completion by 2030 under the building permit (as of January 2025, Expats.cz), 31 December 2030 is a placeholder date, and the award report gives no current deadline (e15/ČTK, 5 Oct 2026).
