JTEKT to cut around 300 jobs at Plzeň plant

The Plzeň car-parts plant of Japan's JTEKT group is cutting around 300 of its 620 jobs — almost half the workforce and the biggest reduction since series production began in 2005. Both production and administrative staff are affected; notices with severance pay will be issued gradually over several months from the end of August 2026, with the company citing group strategy and market conditions.
