On 4 August 2025, electric train operation began on the 33-kilometre section of the Wieserbahn between Wettmannstätten and Wies-Eibiswald, coinciding with the commissioning of the Koralm Railway. This enabled Graz-Köflacher Bahn (GKB) electric trains to run through for the first time on the route Graz main station–Hengsberg–Wettmannstätten–Wies-Eibiswald. The remaining, still non-electrified section of the Wieserbahn is scheduled for completion by 2033 according to Wikipedia.
