Europe's seventh EuroHPC quantum computer and the first using semiconductor spin qubits; it will be coupled to the MeluXina supercomputer and enable hybrid classical-quantum workflows for science, industry and the public sector.

On 23 July 2026 the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking launched the procurement of the MeluXina-Q quantum computer, to be hosted and operated by LuxProvide in Luxembourg and integrated with the MeluXina supercomputer. The system will start with at least 10 semiconductor spin qubits and is to be upgraded over its lifetime. The acquisition budget is up to €11.95m, co-financed in equal parts by the EuroHPC JU (from the Digital Europe Programme) and the Luxembourg government. The tender deadline is 1 September 2026; the hosting agreement with LuxProvide was signed back in December 2024.
