Revenue of CZK 2.199tn faces spending of CZK 2.585tn; the CZK 386bn deficit would be the second largest ever; defence rises to CZK 191bn
The plan includes public-sector pay rises of 5 to 9%, about CZK 290bn of investment and debt service growing from CZK 110bn to 130bn; defence spending reaches 2% of GDP for the first time. The draft still has to pass parliament (Expats.cz, 22 Sep 2026).
