On the morning of 28 May 2026 the Kosovo administration took control of the rail infrastructure in the north of the country: signs were replaced at the stations of Zvečan, Leposavić, Leshak and Slatina, and employees of Serbia's Infrastruktura železnice Srbije had to leave their workplaces. The infrastructure company Infrakos thereby manages all facilities and properties in the north and says it wants to speed up implementation of the detailed project and full commissioning of the line, which Infrakos says belongs to Corridor X.
