A consortium led by Gotlandsbolaget (54% of the acquisition vehicle) is buying 30% of Nordic Ferry Infrastructure from EQT for about €510m; EQT keeps 70%. The company runs ferry routes with about 3,200 staff and had 2024 revenue of NOK 9.0bn (Gotlandsbolaget, 9 April 2026). Update (8 July 2026): the European Commission cleared the deal as case M.12388 (European Commission, Daily News, 8 July 2026). Update (26 August 2026): the purchase has been completed as planned (Shippax, 26 August 2026).
