Knorr-Bremse opens modernised Mödling plant after EUR 30m investment

Knorr-Bremse officially opened its modernised Mödling site on 13 October 2025. Over the five years since the project began, about EUR 30 million went into new or thermally refurbished buildings, a rooftop solar array and more automation, without any halt to production. The plant, with about 850 employees, is the group's global lead plant for rail brakes, sanding and wiper systems and brake-control components; the report names no new jobs and stresses safeguarding existing ones.
