Westhof housing cooperative in Dübendorf now occupied

Westhof is a housing cooperative development by Wogeno Zürich (cooperative of self-managed buildings) together with Palmahus AG in the Hochbord neighborhood between Dübendorf and Zurich, close to Stettbach railway station, built on the former Gärtnerei Kohler nursery site (Zukunftstrasse 3, 8600 Dübendorf). According to the project website, the settlement comprises around 83 apartments of various types (including studio, family and cluster apartments) plus 11 commercial/communal units, a multipurpose hall for up to 100 people, and is certified under the Swiss Sustainable Building Standard (SNBS). Following groundbreaking in July 2020, occupancy took place in early/mid-2023; the website does not disclose investment costs.
