Arla to close Falbygdens Ost site in Falköping, cutting 60 jobs

Dairy cooperative Arla will shut the Falbygdens Ost import and packing facility on Göteborgsvägen in Falköping in February 2027, cutting around 60 jobs; about ten remain at the Osthuset, where Swedish hard cheeses continue to mature. Arla wants to focus on operations that process its member farmers' milk; the Falbygdens dessert cheeses will be discontinued, some products move to the Castello brand and the matured classics continue under Kvibille (Arla, press release, 05.10.2026; SVT, 06.10.2026).
