Graz opens new Neutorlinie tram route through the city centre

On 29 November 2025, the new "Neutorlinie" of the Graz tramway network went into service, connecting Jakominiplatz with Annenstraße via Neutorgasse. The new route relieves the previous alignment through Herrengasse in Graz's city centre from through traffic. Line 17 operates on the new route during the day, while line 16 takes over in the evenings, on weekends and on public holidays.
