Event
On 9 October 2026 the Commission announces temporary trade preferences for Armenia that enter into force on 10 October 2026

Two-year term; almost 80% of Armenian exports to the EU liberalised (nearly all fresh fruit, vegetable and flower exports, over 91% of beverages and spirits); safeguards for EU producers

In response to Russian trade restrictions, the EU is temporarily opening its market to Armenian producers for two years from 10 October 2026. The Commission says almost 80% of Armenian exports are covered; the scheme includes safeguards should imports harm EU producers and forms part of a wider support package for Armenia (European Commission, Daily News, 9 Oct 2026).
