Olten's station square, a regional transport hub, is to be redesigned with optimised bus routing, new taxi stands and park-and-ride facilities, a new pedestrian/cycle bridge, and underground parking. The city approved a CHF 2.7 million planning credit in 2020; following public participation (August/September 2025), a public vote is scheduled for June 2026 and the plan's public display for the second half of 2026. The city of Olten has not yet stated a concrete completion date.
