Third track Denges–Morges worth CHF 175m under construction

Sub-project of Léman 2030: a third track between Denges/Lonay and Morges on the busy Lausanne–Geneva line, including a retention basin, track drainage and foundations for overhead-line masts. Investment of about CHF 175 million funded by the Swiss Confederation; the first construction phase between Lonay-Préverenges and Lausanne-Triage runs until 18 December 2026, with further phases dependent on the outcome of an ongoing appeal procedure. SBB's current project page states realization is planned for 2026 to 2034 (subject to building permit) — superseding the originally listed 2031 completion date.
