iKanbi goes bankrupt, 86 jobs lost in Belgium

The Liège business court declared call-centre operator iKanbi Belgium bankrupt on 22 September 2026. Its sister company iZuwi Europe is taking over the business with about 391 of the roughly 477 jobs, while 86 contract staff are dismissed (the unions and VRT put the figure at 88: 57 in Liège and 31 in Sint-Truiden). Reports cite TotalEnergies' decision not to renew its contract and cheaper offshore competition as triggers, and the unions CNE and SETCa criticise the takeover as carried out without any consultation (La DH, 22.09.2026).
