Water utility Abbanoa and the Sardinian water authority Egas presented the facilities renewed for €16m in Tempio Pausania on 23 Oct 2026: the enlarged Pischinaccia treatment plant and a 6.5 km pipeline to the Monte di Deu dam, meant to supply Aggius, Bortigiadas, Calangianus, Luras and Tempio Pausania with over 50,000 residents combined. Regular operation starts after acceptance tests expected by the end of 2026; 31 Dec 2026 is a placeholder for commissioning.
