Nextchem, a subsidiary of engineering group Maire, inaugurated its Node research centre in Rome's Tiburtina Valley on 22 October 2026, an investment of about €45m. Over 6,000 m² of laboratories and pilot plants are meant to take processes for sustainable fuels, green hydrogen and resource recovery from trials to industrial scale. The report gives no figure for newly created jobs (ANSA, 22 Oct 2026).
