ProRail is adapting the platforms at Weesp station to expected passenger growth: daily boardings and alightings are projected to rise from around 20,000 to 30,000 by 2040. Preparatory works start in August 2026, followed by intensive line closures in September and October 2026, with remaining works running until spring 2027.
