Pegasus Airlines announced on 1 October 2026 that it has completed the purchase of ČSA and the Smartwings group, agreed in December 2025, for €154m including the debt of both companies. The Czech competition authority ÚOHS had approved the deal on 11 September 2026 on condition that summer slots on Prague–Antalya are handed to another carrier; Smartwings stays as a brand (Air Journal, 2 Oct 2026; Reuters via Marketscreener, 8 Dec 2025).
