PH FHNW cuts 30 to 40 jobs under its Perspektive:PH savings plan

PH FHNW must save CHF 5 mn per year (a structural deficit of CHF 4 mn + a further CHF 1 mn). 30-40 jobs are affected, although this does not mean 30-40 dismissals. The 'Perspektive:PH' reorganisation project involves realigning 38 professorships into 23 interdisciplinary areas without a research mandate; research will be bundled in the 'Institute for Research & Development'. Savings through structural adjustment, natural attrition and internal solutions; dismissals are a 'last resort'. Implementation: feedback by 27 February, decision in March/April, a new start at the end of August, technical implementation on 1 March 2027.
