Belgrade opens new tram Line 8 to Banjica

Belgrade's new tram Line 8, operated by the city transport company GSP Beograd, has run since Sunday, 1 February 2026, between the termini Omladinski stadion and Banjica via Mije Kovačevića, Ruzveltova, Bulevar kralja Aleksandra (Vukov monument, Law Faculty, Tašmajdan), Resavska, Nemanjina, Slavija, Bulevar oslobođenja, Autokomanda, and Vojvode Stepe, Bebelova and Baštovanska to Banjica. The route is about 10 km per direction with 24 stops; six trams operate at 15-minute intervals. The new line was enabled by newly acquired "Bożankaya"-type trams; no separate investment figure for the line itself is given in the source.
