Council and Parliament agree on EU-US tariff rules

Implementation of the Joint Statement of August 2025: The EU eliminates tariffs on US industrial goods and grants preferential access for US agricultural and fishery products, in return a 15% tariff ceiling applies to EU exports to the US. Included are a suspension clause for steel/aluminium (if US tariffs remain above 15%) and a sunset clause until the end of 2029.
