Passenger trains have run again on the Dombóvár–Komló line (line 47) since 1 August 2026; services had been suspended in 2023, and before the reopening the track alignment was corrected over more than 18 km and the fastenings of the concrete sleepers repaired at 6,500 points (announced on 22 July 2026). Class Bz railcars run as line S447 every two hours outside the early-morning and evening hours, taking 42 minutes, 8 minutes faster than the former replacement buses, with a change at Dombóvár to the Mecsek InterCity trains. Transport Minister Dávid Vitézy had named the line among his first projects at his appointment, which Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced on 24 April 2026; several thousand people gathered in Komló for the reopening, where a steam train arrived.
