Geneva modernises Genève-Aéroport railway station

SBB modernized Genève-Aéroport railway station between autumn 2020 and December 2022 at a cost of about CHF 38 million. Platform height was raised from 42 to 55 cm, stairs, escalators and elevators were renewed, and fire protection was improved. The modernized station, featuring a brighter interior design with a ceiling motif symbolizing the Alps, was officially inaugurated in December 2022 (source cites 14 December 2022 as the inauguration date).
