In reply to an enquiry, Správa železnic has set out the timetable for modernising the line from Plzeň via Domažlice to the German border: work is to begin in early 2027 in Plzeň and is divided into four stretches running from Plzeň via Nýřany and Stod to Domažlice and the border. The last section is expected to be finished at the end of 2031, and the reply gives no costs; for the Plzeň–Beroun line, which is designed for 160 km/h, the administration says it has no indication that a modernisation is being considered. The date is a placeholder: the article gives only the end of 2031 for the last section; announced on 27 Feb 2026 (LOK Report, 27 Feb 2026).
