The Norwegian Coastal Administration (Kystverket) has awarded NCC the construction contract for expanding the Kjøllefjord fishing harbour in Finnmark; the contract is worth NOK 510 million (around €44 million). Two new breakwaters will be built — roughly 150 m to the north and 320 m to the south — the inner basin will be deepened with about 70,000 m³ of dredged material, and new commercial land will be created. Construction starts in September 2026 with completion scheduled for autumn 2029, aiming to improve safety and capacity for the coastal fishing fleet in northern Norway. Announced on 17 Jul 2026 (contract award). The date is a placeholder: only autumn 2029 is given, so the end of autumn is used.
