The 2,000 MW IJmuiden Ver Alpha offshore wind farm lies roughly 60-62 km off the Dutch coast in the North Sea and is being developed by the Noordzeker consortium (SSE Renewables, ABP, APG); its permit became irrevocable in July 2024. Grid connection is provided by TenneT under the new 2 GW direct-current standard, coming ashore at Borssele, with commissioning planned for end of 2029.
