CRBC builds expressway from Požega to the A3 motorway

China Road and Bridge Corporation is building for Hrvatske ceste a 16 km expressway directly linking Požega with the A3 Zagreb-Lipovac motorway, with a 1,650 m single-tube tunnel, two interchanges, five viaducts, four overpasses and two bridges. The construction period is 48 months, so completion is due at the end of 2029; Transport Minister Butković called it the largest single Hrvatske ceste project after the Pelješac Bridge. Work was launched in November 2025, and the total of over €200m is a media figure. Announced on 17 Sep 2026 (Total Croatia News citing Poslovni, 17 Sep 2026).
