Moncalieri Logistics plans 576MW data centre in Moncalieri

With up to 576MW of total electrical capacity it would be Italy's largest data centre, according to local media; around 500 jobs are expected on the 270,000 m² industrial site, which has stood empty since 2016.

Project company Moncalieri Logistics has submitted to the city of Moncalieri (Metropolitan City of Turin) the implementation plan for a data-centre campus on the 270,000 m² site of the Ilte printing works, closed in 2016, after the administration gave its approval in principle in March 2026. The plan comprises four two-storey buildings with around 384MW of IT capacity and up to 576MW of total electrical capacity, plus a solar installation; about 500 jobs are expected, and the city council now has to debate the project (Il Mercoledì, 16 September 2026; second source: Torino Oggi, 19 September 2026).
