Scandic to take over Dalata's hotel operations for €500m

Scandic is taking over the hotel operations of Dalata Hotel Group, with 57 hotels and about 12,500 rooms in Ireland and the UK (Clayton and Maldron brands) plus about 1,600 rooms in the pipeline; Scandic had previously run the hotels on behalf of Pandox. The deal was first announced on 15 July 2025, with a further release on 7 November 2025. On 2 November 2026 Scandic completed the purchase, paying €500m on a cash- and debt-free basis; it now has more than 320 hotels in eleven countries (Scandic Hotels Group, 2 November 2026).
