On 20 April 2026 President Vučić inaugurated the new railway bridge over the Tamiš near Tomaševac on the Pančevo–Zrenjanin line; the first passenger train crossed it the same day. The 120 m three-span steel box-girder bridge replaces the old combined road-rail bridge, which will now serve pedestrians and cyclists; the project cost EUR 12.5 million, around 1,200 m of track were laid alongside, and only Serbian companies carried out the work. The bridge is designed for 100 km/h and is meant to allow faster and more reliable services between Orlovat and Tomaševac on the Pančevo–Zrenjanin–Kikinda line. (LOK Report, 23 Apr 2026)
