RhB and SBB to rebuild Landquart station by 2032 for CHF 365 million

On 10 April 2026 the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) and SBB broke ground for the preparatory works to rebuild the track and platform layout at Landquart station; the sub-project costs CHF 365 million, main works begin in spring 2027 and opening is foreseen for 2032. Its centrepiece is a shared central platform for RhB and SBB that makes a further platform track possible for each of the two railways, together with platform roofs carrying photovoltaics, a wide passenger underpass and extended freight tracks. The overall renewal project, whose first works began in May 2018, is budgeted at about CHF 680 million.
