The 3.9 km extension of tram line T1 from Luxexpo (Kirchberg) via Senningerberg to Findel Airport entered service on 2 March 2025. The new section crosses the A1 motorway on a 110-metre bridge and connects the airport directly to the tram network via two new stops, "Héienhaff" (park-and-ride) and "Findel – Luxembourg Airport". The full T1 line now spans roughly 16 km with 24 stops.
