On 7 August 2026, alongside its half-year results, Lotus Bakeries announced the largest investment programme in the company's history: at least EUR 500m through 2030 to expand Biscoff production at three sites — Lembeke (Belgium, a fourth production hall, groundbreaking in May 2026, construction under way), Mebane (USA) and Chonburi (Thailand). The share attributable to Belgium was not quantified separately, and no number of new jobs was given.
