Správa železnic is rebuilding Prague's Masarykovo nádraží station as part of the Praha–Letiště–Kladno project, which has eleven construction sections, and is now starting on the central track area and the existing platforms, after work had previously concentrated on new platforms for the airport and Kladno services. To speed things up, trains from Kladno and Kralupy nad Vltavou will terminate at the new Bubny station from June to the end of 2026 (services from Libeň and Vysočany are not affected), and tracks and platforms at Hybernská Street are to be removed within days to make room for archaeological investigations of remains of Prague's city fortifications. The whole rebuild is due to be finished at the end of 2027 and will create a deck above the platforms linking the station with the surrounding streets; the Negrelli Viaduct, Bubny station and the stop at the fairgrounds are already complete, and the 15 km upgrade of Praha-Ruzyně–Kladno began in spring 2026. The date is a placeholder: the article names only the end of next year, i.e. 2027, and gives no costs; status as of the report of 11 May 2026 (LOK Report, 11 May 2026).
