Owner CK Partners announced on 9/10 Sept 2026 that it plans to discontinue foundry production at Ulefoss Jernverk in Nome (Norway's oldest factory, founded in 1657) within three years, citing weak demand and competition from low-cost countries such as China; casting production would be consolidated at the Stange site.
