Amazon converts Pforzheim site into robotics hub, adding 1,000 jobs

Amazon is investing more than €300 m to convert its Pforzheim logistics site in the Buchbusch industrial estate into a robotics fulfilment centre. More than 1,000 additional jobs are to be created by the end of 2029, roughly doubling the workforce to over 2,000. Small and medium-sized items will in future be picked with the help of flat transport robots that drive entire shelving units to the workstations.
