EP Group, the holding headed by Daniel Křetínský, announced a cash offer for Fnac Darty on 26 January 2026 at €36 a share, welcomed unanimously by the board. EP already holds 28.5% and wants to become long-term majority shareholder, with no squeeze-out and no delisting. Update (20 October 2026): the European Commission cleared the acquisition of sole control under the normal procedure without competition concerns; whether the offer has since completed is not documented here (Il Sole 24 Ore, 26 January 2026; European Commission, 20 October 2026). Addendum: not previously tracked. Update (20 October 2026): the takeover offer by EP FR Holdco, controlled by EP Group, at €35 per share (after the €1.00 dividend paid on 5 June 2026) closes on 9 November 2026; if it succeeds (more than 50% of the capital or voting rights) it will reopen for at least ten trading days (Fnac Darty, 20 October 2026).
