Winterthur station gets new passenger and bicycle underpass

On 12 December 2021, SBB, the Canton of Zurich and the City of Winterthur opened the new North passenger underpass at Winterthur station, widened from 4.5 to 17.5 metres, together with a separate bicycle underpass adding more than 700 covered bike parking spaces. Around CHF 90 million was invested in the project over four years, jointly funded by SBB, the canton and the city. It formed a central part of the ongoing modernisation of the Winterthur station area.
