The IJmuiden Ver Beta offshore wind project sits in the North Sea about 62 km off the Dutch coast (near IJmuiden) and is planned to reach a total capacity of 2,000 MW. The permit was awarded in June 2024 to the Zeevonk consortium (Vattenfall and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners), which now plans to build the farm in two phases due to delays in the Delta Rhine Corridor: 1,000 MW by 2029 and a further 1,000 MW by 2032. Turbine count and type have not yet been disclosed; the project also includes a hydrogen electrolyser and a floating solar pilot plant. Update (20.07.2026): DEME won the contract to transport and install the 69 monopile foundations for the first phase; offshore construction is due to start in 2028, and the final investment decision is still pending. According to Vattenfall, phase 1 is to deliver 1 GW by 2029, with phase 2 following in 2032 with a further 1 GW and 500 MW of system integration, including an electrolyser (DEME and Vattenfall, 20.07.2026). The entry 5e57159e on the foundation contract, initially recorded separately, has been merged into this one.
