ÖBB Rail Cargo Group has opened the modernised container terminal for combined transport in Přerov-Horní Moštěnice after 16 months of construction; the site grew by about 17,100 m² to roughly 36,000 m², almost doubling in size. More storage and handling areas, better track access and new handling equipment are meant to remove the earlier bottlenecks, capacity is around 3,000 TEU, and semi-trailers can also be handled in future. New rail links to the ports of Koper and Rijeka and integration into Eurasian connections via Budapest are planned; the project is co-financed by the EU, and the report gives no costs. The date is a placeholder: the article gives no exact opening day, so the date of the report is used (LOK Report, 15 Jun 2026).
