The city of Sierre/Siders and SBB are rebuilding the Beaulieu bridge over the tracks: site facilities are being set up from mid-February 2026, foundations and abutments follow from spring to autumn 2026, and a steel structure 43 metres long and weighing 300 tonnes is then put in place. The bridge reconnects the districts south of the tracks with the town centre and opens up the station square, supplemented by a roundabout and a ramp access to the station. The project costs CHF 18.2 million, of which CHF 11.8 million comes from federal funds via SBB, and commissioning is foreseen for 2027.
