Austria Pet Food opened the expansion of its Pöttelsdorf plant on 23 October 2026, designed to double production capacity; about €40m was invested and 50 new jobs were created. The province of Burgenland holds 40% of the company through ATHENA Burgenland Beteiligungen and supported the expansion with grants (Province of Burgenland, 23 October 2026).
