Slovakia's motorway company NDS opened the roughly 15km D1 section between Hubová and Ivachnová, which bypasses Ružomberok, to traffic on 05.10.2026. It includes 19 bridges, three junctions and the 3.6km Čebrať tunnel; landslides and the discovery of a cave had delayed construction by years. According to NDS, the contract price stood at just under €289m excluding VAT in 2022 (NDS, 06.10.2026; TASR, 04.10.2026; SITA, 08.05.2022).
