Hyundai Wia starts series production at new plant in Martin

Korean supplier Hyundai Wia began series production on 30 September 2026 at a new plant in Martin (Žilina Region), to which its Slovak subsidiary, founded in 2023, is moving from another site in the region. Capacity reaches up to 800,000 constant-velocity joints and 280,000 coolant modules a year, partly for Kia's EV2 and EV4 electric models; headcount is set to grow from 98 to about 410 by 2030. The company has not disclosed an investment figure (Asia Business Daily, 1 Oct 2026).
