Howden to acquire wealth adviser Thomond in Limerick

UK insurance and financial services group Howden is acquiring Limerick-based advisory firm Thomond Asset Management (trading name of Folk Asset Management Ltd.), which specialises in financial planning, pensions, investments and estate planning. Nine advisers move to Howden; following Maven Financial Planning (April) and Opes Wealth Trust (May), this is the group's third Irish financial-advisory acquisition of 2026 and its first location in Limerick, taking the Irish financial advisory team past 80 people. No price was disclosed; the deal is subject to approval by the Central Bank of Ireland.
