Lidl to invest €420m in Munster, creating 500 jobs

Lidl is putting €420m into Munster, including €200m for a new regional distribution centre at Little Island near Cork, 14 new stores and the redevelopment of 10 existing ones. More than 500 permanent jobs (250 of them in Cork) and over 4,500 construction jobs are expected; the package is part of Lidl Ireland's €600m five-year programme (RTÉ, 23 Oct 2026).
