ZVS Holding and Eurenco build propellant charge plant in Strážske for about €300m

A plant for modular artillery propellant charges is being built at the former Chemko site in Strážske in eastern Slovakia as a joint venture of the semi-state ZVS Holding and the French defence manufacturer Eurenco. The project costs about €300m, the plant is to produce more than 100,000 propellant charges a year, and production is planned for 2028; Defence Minister Robert Kaliňák expects hundreds of new jobs, but the source gives no figure (STVR, 5 Mar 2026).
